Youth Softball program for children ages 7-9 (must be 7 as of 5/6/24) will consist of machine pitch. Each participant will receive a cap and t-shirt. Participants must bring their own ball glove. Other equipment is provided, however participants may be allowed to bring their own youth bats and helmet with a cage mask (if approved). Practices leading up to games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5PM or later beginning May 6th. Additional skills training and batting practice will be provided for participants throughout the season (see flyer for more details). Softball games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at either 5PM or later (subject to change based on the number of teams) beginning June 3rd. Games are subject to rainouts and makeup games will be scheduled for the week of July15th. Volunteer coaches are needed. Any volunteer coaches must attend the coaches meeting on Tuesday, April 30th, 7PM, located at the Bowling Green Community Center (Classroom A/B). Coaches are asked to complete an application and pass background checks prior to coaching.
