Join us for fun and learning at the Nature Center! Children will hike, explore, play and create while learning about plants, animals and nature. Daily themes will engage the children and focus attention on specific nature subjects. Nature's Nursery, a local animal wildlife rehabilitation center, will visit with their animal ambassadors and an educational program.

Join the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department and the Wood County District Public Library Children's Place as we explore the hidden world of fairies! Enjoy stories then help us to create a fairy village along the trail by designing and constructing your own fairy house. The adventure begins at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Wintergarden/St. John's Nature Preserve. This is a free, drop-in program. Children are welcome to come dressed in wings!

Join the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department for monthly wildflower walks at Wintergarden/St. John's Nature Preserve on April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18 and August 15, 2024. Flowers come and go throughout the growing season, you should too! Hikes will last up to an hour and a half. No pre-registration is required and participants can come to one or all of the programs as schedules permit. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes that allow for walking on our trails.
